God, Why Do You Love Me?: Finding Freedom From Shame

Have you ever felt discarded, unworthy, dirty? Do you feel chained down by shame and regret? Do you look at yourself and wonder how you could ever be clean? Would you believe me if I told you there really is a way? One that works?

A way from pain to freedom. From shame to acceptance. From loneliness to being loved more than you could possibly imagine.

By picking up “God, Why Do You Love Me?”, you just took the first step. The first step toward freedom from shame, onto a path of transformation, healing, and invigoration. How do I know this? Because I walked the same path, lived shackled in the same chains of shame, and was led by God on that same miraculous journey. Why?

Because God loves us as we are, knows exactly how we feel, and still wants a relationship with us. He wants a relationship with you. RIGHT. NOW. Though hurt and pain may distance your heart from Him, His specialty is broken people. Trust me, I know. Just as doctors perform surgery to heal, God desires to do the same for us.

Through sharing my story, and how God has written His story of redemption in my life and on my heart, I hope that you can reflect on your story, and how God is waiting and ready to transform your own hurting heart, as He did mine.

Please take this step with me on this journey of healing and learn who God created you to be.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Dee is a woman driven by a deep passion for prayer, and her life story is a testament to the profound impact it can have. At the age of 15, she faced the heart-wrenching abandonment of her parents. Despite this adversity, Dee not only completed her education, navigating her way through numerous community colleges and universities, but she also thrived in the field of psychology and counseling.

During her most challenging moments, Dee grappled with thoughts of relinquishing her fragile existence, coming close to surrendering to despair. Yet, she found the strength to persevere through abusive relationships, emerging from each one stronger and more resilient. It was during these trials that Dee discovered the profound importance of God's promises.

Dee's journey led her to intern and work as a therapist within the challenging environment of a hospital in Louisiana. Like many in the field, she eventually faced burnout, prompting a well-deserved sabbatical. But her career took an exciting turn when she became a Senior Project Manager at General Motors, where she had the privilege of leading global teams.

Driven by her passion for psychology and counseling, Dee returned to school to earn her Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) in pastoral counseling. She's now a proud member of both the American Counseling Association and the American Association of Christian Counseling.

Dee's commitment to making a difference in the world extends beyond her career. Alongside her husband, Steve, she played a pivotal role in establishing a homeless shelter in Summerville, South Carolina, ensuring that no one else would have to endure the pain of homelessness, abandonment, or orphanhood.

Dee is also a gifted author, with her first book, "If You Praise HIM," offering profound insights into the connection between praise and purpose. She recently contributed to "Volume 2: Daughters of Destiny," a collaborative devotional that reimagines biblical heroines through a contemporary lens. And her eagerly anticipated third book, "God, Why Do You Love Me?," is set to be released in Spring 2024.

Dee and Steve are the driving forces behind two foundations close to their hearts: "whatsRpurpose" and "Pray 4 The Nations." Through their work and unwavering faith, they continue to inspire and uplift those around them, leaving an indelible mark on the world. Dee's story is a testament to the transformative power of faith, resilience, and the unwavering belief that there is always more to discover in life.
