"YHWH"

How in the world do we pronounce "YHWH" though?

In written form, ancient Hebrew was a consonant-only language. Because of the lack of vowels, Bible scholars debate how the great name "YHWH" is pronounced. In fact, His name is what is known as the sacred tetragrammaton, the unspeakable four letters.

Now, I am no bible scholar, so who am I to tell someone how to pronounce His name? However, one of the translations says that every time we take a breath in, we are saying "YH". And when we exhale, we are saying "WH".

So, while our minds can't begin to comprehend such a Holy name and our mouths can't seem to utter a word without vowels... the very thing that keeps us alive, the very thing given to us by God Himself, OUR BREATH, calls on the name of the Lord more times than our hearts and minds could ever.

I hope you find encouragement in this today. Even when you are in a place where you can't find the words to pray or the strength to call on the name of the Lord... All you have to do is breathe and He hears you calling His name.
